The Admiral Fell
(Lyrics and Music: A. Hunt)
Once there was a boy who became a privateer / He commanded a ship every Limey would fear / His Clipper was fast in calm or choppy water / And turned the Admiral’s fleet into cannon fodder
Through cunning and plunder he gained wealth / He desired to have the advantage of stealth / He hired brilliant minds to create a machine / So his ship could harnesses the power of steam
The Admiral fell! His point was moot / The Privateers stole his ship and his loot
The Admiral fell! His point was lost / The Limey bastard’s corpse has been tossed
New engines and gears mount the corsair / His vessel gains lift and cruises the air / What glory to rule the seas and sky! / I am the privateer Captain of a ship that can fly!
Once I was a boy, but now I am a man / I defend Baltimore’s pride wherever I can / Raised in the harbor of the Chesapeake Bay / I don’t give a damn what the Brits might say! / Behold! My ship now has the power of flight / I will protect the city and will watch the night / I glide the ether o’er the land of the free / And the home of the brave, with Francis Scott Key
Many a mariner joined the Captain’s crew / Pirates and scallywags to name just a few / My Letter of Marque and Reprisal, my mission / Is to beat the Sea Lords into submission
The Admiral’s been tossed / And his war was lost / The bastard was tossed / And his war was lost
